AP Course and Exam Changes

AP courses and exams are updated periodically to reflect current developments in each discipline, ensure alignment with introductory college courses, and more clearly communicate the required course content and skills.  

This process, like the course development process, is undertaken by development committees of experienced educators and college faculty, working with high school teachers and higher education faculty reviewers and consultants.

The AP Program may periodically update the course and exam description (CED) documents. When a CED is updated, the AP teacher community will be notified. The date on the cover of the CED will update if there are changes to assessable content (course framework, exam design, rubric / scoring guidelines). The links to CEDs on this page are the same links as on the course pages.
