2021 AP Exams
Almost all colleges in the U.S. award credit and placement for qualifying AP scores. The 2021 AP Exams will cover the full course content so that students are accurately placed into higher-level courses where they can succeed when they get to college. We owe it to both students and colleges to accurately indicate whether students have learned the course material and should thus be exempted from learning it in college.
To give every student the opportunity to succeed while remaining safe and healthy this school year, we are providing more flexibility and instructional support than ever before:
- If health and safety conditions allow, your school can offer in-person testing—and if not, that’s OK. We’ll offer options so all students can test, even if school buildings are closed. More information will be available in early 2021.
- If a student decides not to test or to cancel their exams, there are no fees.
- New resources in AP Classroom, such as free, online AP Daily videos and practice questions, will cover each topic in each AP course.
AP Daily Videos in AP Classroom
New AP Daily videos cover every topic in the course and can be paired with practice questions to identify student misunderstandings. Videos can be assigned as homework, giving teachers more time to have focused discussions and connect with their students.
AP Instructional Resources Built for Any Learning Environment
Whether your school year starts with in-person, hybrid/blended, or online learning, AP teachers can use free, digital resources in AP Classroom to provide students with daily instruction, practice, and feedback on every topic and skill covered on AP Exams.
