Working with Your IT Department
The digital AP Exam administration requires the support of school and district technology staff.
Before Exam Day
Work with technology staff at your school or district to help you identify appropriate exam rooms, ensure that all students have supported testing devices, and configure the school’s network.
The technology coordinator you identified in AP Registration and Ordering will manage the process for installing the Bluebook testing app on testing devices. They may also need to help students with approved accommodations with assistive technology configuration steps on school-managed devices. See Technology Overview for Digital AP Exams for more information.
On Exam Day
The technology coordinator will ensure that student and staff devices can access Wi-Fi and that technology monitors can troubleshoot common issues.
Next Steps
- Confirm that the technology coordinator entered in AP Registration and Ordering is the person at your school or district who should be receiving technical information from the AP Program about installing Bluebook on testing devices.
- Direct your technology coordinator to the Bluebook Technology for Professionals website for device specifications, installation instructions, and network requirements.
- Direct them to review details about using and configuring assistive technology with Bluebook if any students registered for a digital AP Exam have approved or requested accommodations to test with assistive technology.
