Requesting Access to AP Tools and Data Resources for District Administrative Staff
Each year, districts must renew access to AP tools and data resources, including AP Registration and Ordering, AP Classroom, and AP Score Reports for Educators. This access is granted from August 1 to July 31 and is requested via the AP District Access Authorization Form.
To request the form be sent to your district please contact AP Services for Educators at 877-274-6474 (toll free in the United States and Canada) or 1-212-632-1781. A Docusign link to the form will then be sent to the superintendent at the requested district to complete. Only the superintendent at the district or their designee may submit the form. They should add @docusign.net to their email address book to ensure receipt of the form link from Docusign.
Note: Requests for public charter school systems cannot currently be granted when the schools within the system are linked instead to their respective public districts within the AP Registration and Ordering tool.
Access Roles for District Leaders
There are three roles available to district leaders.
My AP Authorized Users
Authorized users get view-only access to information in AP Classroom, Pre-AP Classroom, AP Registration and Ordering, and AP Score Reports for Educators. Authorized users can view:
- AP Classroom and Pre-AP Classroom: student, section, and school level data including performance results.
- AP Registration and Ordering: student, section, course, and school level AP Exam registration and order statuses for the current and previous year AP Exam administrations.
- AP Score Reports for Educators: student, section, course, school, and aggregated district-level AP Exam score data. Authorized users get a single view of all schools in the entire district, with the ability to view data within a school as high-level or as granular as the user wants to make it.
AP Score Reports for Educators Access Only
Authorized users get view-only access to AP Score Reports for Educators, as described under My AP Authorized Users above. Users with only this role will not be able to view data in AP Classroom, Pre-AP Classroom, or AP Registration and Ordering. If someone has already requested the My AP Authorized User access, they do not need to separately request this access.
Authorization to Manage District Financial Arrangements
The district designates individuals who are authorized to select its preferred financial arrangement and commit the district with respect to AP Exam payments. For example, the district can choose to cover the entire cost of AP Exams for all schools in its district or the district can choose to pay a portion of the AP Exam cost for schools in its district, thereby reducing the cost to those schools accordingly. The district will receive an invoice based on the authorized designee’s selection.
Tips for Completing the District Access Authorization Form
- An individual may be authorized for more than one role.
- All users listed on the form must have a College Board professional account in order to access the AP tools and resources. We strongly encourage users to create an account prior to the submission of the form to avoid delays in getting access.
- All users listed on the form must have their own College Board professional account where the email provided on the form matches the email that the individual used to set up their account.
- Emails must be district issued; personal emails cannot be used.
Please allow one to two weeks for your district’s access to be granted once the form has been submitted. Listed individuals will be notified by email once the request has been processed.
To request someone’s access be removed, please contact AP Services for Educators at 877-274-6474 (toll free in the United States and Canada) or 1-212-632-1781.
