Attend an AP Workshop
Led by experienced AP teachers, AP workshops help you prepare to teach a specific AP course.
One- and two-day synchronous workshops are offered online and in person throughout the school year for all AP courses except AP Seminar and AP Research. Teachers of those courses are required to attend a four-day AP Summer Institute.
What’s Covered
An AP workshop gives you a practical foundation for teaching your AP course.
You'll explore:
- The course and exam description (CED): Understand how the CED is organized and use it to structure your course.
- AP Classroom resources: Use student data to see how AP Classroom builds skills and reinforces topic and skill connections in your lessons.
- Instructional strategies and tools: Identify teaching strategies and tools you can fold into lesson plans to teach the content and skills in the CED.
- Strategies to expand AP access: Learn strategies for building a supportive classroom environment and ways to bring more students from all backgrounds into AP.
When you complete a workshop, you’ll earn a certificate of completion and CEUs: 0.6 for one day and 1.2 for two days.
