How do students use AI in the redesigned AP Computer Science Principles course?

Students use AI under supervised instruction. They complete structured, hands-on AI labs, where they investigate how AI systems represent information and generate output. Across the course, students write and evaluate code with and without AI tools, check the accuracy of AI-generated code, decide how much AI automation fits a task, and describe appropriate attribution and documentation when they use AI and external sources.
