Are there special procedures or best practices for setting up the headsets for the AP Chinese and AP Japanese Exams?

Yes.

Important: For exams administered on Chromebooks, be sure headsets are connected before launching the app. 

Before exam day:

• Check the connection of the headsets that will be used with the testing computers. Older headsets with newer computers might not be compatible.
• During the initial readiness checks, use the headsets that will be used for testing to ensure they're compatible.
• Clean the headsets.

Note: It's recommended to have some extra headsets available for the exam.
