FAQ

How do I complete initial setup in AP Registration and Ordering?

When you access AP Registration and Ordering for the first time this school year, you'll be brought to the AP Registration and Ordering Setup. After you complete the setup screens, you'll have full access to AP Registration and Ordering.

In setup, you’ll need to complete screens for:

  • School Information—all required fields must be completed before you can complete other activities in AP Registration and Ordering.
  • Exam Administration details—all required fields must be completed before you can complete other activities in AP Registration and Ordering
  • Student Exam Decision Indicator: Review this Information—you'll see this if you indicated on the Exam Administration screen that your school will administer exams.
  • Roster Management—you can decide whether you'd like teachers to be able to drop students from class sections and move students between class sections in the system (this is the default setting), or if you'd prefer that teachers not have this ability. You can always go back to this setting and change it after you complete the setup steps.
  • AP Exam Ordering and Administration Terms—this screen is new for 2026-27. In previous years, AP coordinators received a separate AP Participation Form generated after setup. Starting this year, AP coordinators review and accept the AP Exam Ordering and Administration Terms during setup. The Terms explain a school’s responsibilities for ordering, administering, and paying for AP Exams following College Board policies and timelines.
  • BigFuture School and Connections—this screen is new for 2026-27. Starting this year, BigFuture School and Connections™ are available to eligible schools. AP coordinators will indicate whether their school opts in or opts out of offering BigFuture School and Connections to students enrolled in AP courses at their school. Learn more about BigFuture School and Connections.

Complete instructions about completing setup are in the “How to Use AP Registration and Ordering” section in the AP Coordinator’s Manual, Part 1.
