Overview
AP Mentoring is your opportunity to have on-going support in a small group setting with experienced AP teachers. Your mentor group will be tailored to your needs and experience level. During the program, you will attend four online group meetings with an experienced AP teacher to discuss strategies to support your students’ success and access shared documents through the AP Mentoring platform. All meetings are an hour long and take place Monday–Friday, during a time convenient for you between 4–10 p.m. ET.
Open to all teachers of the following subjects:
- AP Art and Design (New for 2022-23)
- AP Biology (New for 2022-23)
- AP Calculus (New for 2022-23)
- AP Computer Science A
- AP Computer Science Principles
- AP English Language and Composition (New for 2022-23)
- AP English Literature and Composition
- AP Spanish Language and Culture (New for 2022-23)
- AP U.S. Government and Politics
- AP U.S. History

Strategies & Pedagogical Tools
Available: Fall Semester and Spring Semester

Focused on instructional strategies, tools, and best practices to be used in your classroom.
Assess & Reflect
Available: Spring Semester
Experience Level: New or Experienced
Focused on the scoring rubrics and reviewing student samples to help teachers work with their students to succeed on the AP exam.
2022-23 AP Mentoring Fee Waiver
The 2022-23 AP Mentoring Fee Waiver provides funds for teachers at high schools serving minority or low-income students who have been traditionally underrepresented in AP courses to participate in the AP Mentoring program. The fee waiver covers the registration fee to participate in both semesters (fall and spring) of the 2022-23 academic year.
Teachers must:
- Plan to teach one of the following AP courses in the 2022-23 academic year
- AP Art and Design
- AP Biology
- AP Calculus AB
- AP Calculus BC
- AP Computer Science A
- AP Computer Science Principles
- AP English Language and Composition
- AP English Literature and Composition
- AP Spanish Language and Culture
- AP U.S. Government and Politics
- AP U.S. History
- Teach in a high school at which at least 50% of the student population consists of underrepresented minorities, and/or at least 50% of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch

Join us for AP Mentoring
Step 1. Register for a session based on what you’d like to focus on and your experience level in your subject.
Step 2. Select a mentor group that aligns with your schedule and your preferred mentor on our AP Mentoring online platform.
Step 3. Meet with your mentor group once a month using our AP Mentoring online platform.
Step 4. Attend all four meetings and complete a feedback survey to receive your certificate of 0.4 CEUs.
