Rosters and Student Reports

AP Score Reports for Educators

The roster and student reports available on AP Score Reports for Educators provide teachers, school administrators, and district administrators with student-level data organized by school and subject.

  • The Subject Score Roster and Organization Score Roster are an overall view of all AP students who tested during a specific exam year and their AP scores.
  • The Student Score Report lists an individual student’s entire exam history.
  • The Scholar Roster lists all AP students who earned an AP Scholar Award during a specific administration year.

Subject Score Roster

The Subject Score Roster lists all students and their AP scores for each AP subject. This report is available to teachers, school administrators, district administrators, and staff at online learning providers. Use this roster to view individual student scores by subject or to see how your students performed relative to their peers. See the related resources below for a downloadable at-a-glance PDF guide to the Subject Score Roster.

Interpreting the Report

Subject Summary with State and Global Comparisons: Includes key metrics, such as the percentage of scores that are 3 or higher, and state and global comparison data.

Score Distributions with Comparables and Section Breakdown: Displays your students’ performance and score distribution on the 1–5 score scale compared to their state and global peers, with additional segmentation by section.

Student Roster: Full list of your students and their scores. Use the sort, search, and pagination tools to find individual students. Apply filters such as score and grade level to drill down into a subset of students. Filters will apply to the data for your group of students as well as any aggregate peer data at the state and global levels in your report.

Things to Consider

  • Sections listed reflect the class sections created in AP Registration and OrderingLearn more about class sections.
  • Teachers view those sections to which they were assigned in AP Registration and Ordering.
  • If you have multiple sections, select to view your report by individual section, by a subset of your sections, or across all your sections.
  • If viewing multiple sections in the same report, compare score distributions across sections.
  • School and district administrators also have access to Exam Only sections.
  • Students listed in this report may not necessarily attend the school whose report they are included in, though they may be instructed at the school for that particular subject.
  • School and district administrators may view an individual students’ score report from the roster by clicking on their name. This option is only available if the student attends the school full time.
  • Comparison data on this report will differ from the peer comparison data on the Instructional Planning Report, which is aligned to a specific form of the exam.
  • If you believe a student score is missing, consult our troubleshooting guide.

Note: If your organization is outside of the United States, your comparison groups will be at the country and global levels, except for Canada, where comparison groups will be at the province and global levels.
