AP Teacher Support Sessions

Get support in a small, online group setting with fellow AP teachers during the school year.

What Happens in AP Teacher Support Sessions?

You’ll join a small, online group of 5–10 other educators teaching the same AP course. During a session, you’ll gain essential teaching strategies you can immediately apply in the classroom, while connecting with peers and experienced facilitators.

Session Topics:

  • Understanding and Planning the Course
  • Teaching the Course
  • Assessing Student Understanding

Benefits of AP Teacher Support Sessions

Teach AP Courses with Confidence

Whether you’re new to AP or looking to refine your instructional approach, these sessions will help you plan and teach your course more effectively.

Register for Sessions When it Works for You

Sessions for each topic are offered multiple times throughout the school year, so you can attend when you need support.

Earn CEUs While You Learn

AP Teacher Support Sessions are available for over a dozen AP courses. Participants will earn 0.2 CEUs per two-hour session.

Who Should Attend Teacher Support Sessions?

All three sessions are ideal for teachers with under three years of experience teaching an AP course. Experienced AP teachers may benefit from attending an Assessing Student Understanding session if they haven't been to an AP Reading, or were unable to attend the most recent reading.

“I’m already implementing many of the items we spoke about [in our group sessions] such as applying historical thinking skills, essay writing, focusing on themes and connections, pacing the content and the list goes on.”
