Each Achieving AP Access for All workshop is customized for teachers and administrators in a single district or school to explore how to create an AP program devoted to improving access to advanced academics for students from all populations.

Quick Facts

  • Audience: Up to 25 district or building administrators and AP teachers. Administrators and teachers will attend sessions together to collaborate on the shared access policy.
  • Format: Available in person or online. 
  • Facilitator: Endorsed College Board AP professional learning consultant.
  • When: Available at any time throughout the year.

Workshop Description

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Identify policies, procedures, and tools that can be used to increase access in the AP teacher and student population. 
  • Discuss curriculum adjustments and instructional strategies to recruit and retain students who have traditionally not had access to AP courses. 
  • Identify district-, school-, and classroom-level policies and practices that enhance or restrict student opportunities to take AP courses and exams.
