AP Fellows Program

The AP Fellows scholarship provides funds for teachers at high schools serving minority or low-income students who have been traditionally underrepresented in AP courses to attend an AP Summer Institute. The $1,000 scholarship covers the cost of AP Summer Institute tuition. Remaining funds, if the APSI was in-person/on-site and after the tuition has been paid, will be sent to the teacher to be applied toward travel expenses.

Scholarship Criteria

Teachers must:

  • Plan to teach an AP course (excluding AP Seminar and AP Research) in the 2024-25 academic year
  • Teach in a high school at which at least 50% of the student population consists of underrepresented minorities and/or at least 50% of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch
  • Not have received a College Board APSI scholarship for the same subject within the last 3 years
