FAQ

Why is student work flagged for unacceptable use of generative artificial intelligence (AI)?

Student work may be flagged for unacceptable use of AI if a student uses generative AI to bypass work. During the performance tasks, students are required to successfully complete checkpoints with their teacher in order to demonstrate they have not used AI to bypass the work. If a student has not completed the checkpoints successfully, or the teacher is unable to verify the authenticity of the student’s work and attests accordingly in the AP Digital Portfolio, then the student will receive a score of 0 for that particular component of the AP Seminar and/or AP Research performance task.
