FAQ

What are the consequences for plagiarism, falsification or fabrication of information, or unacceptable use of AI?

Students found guilty of plagiarism, falsification or fabrication of information, or unacceptable use of AI will receive a score of 0 for that particular component of the performance task. The student’s exam score will be calculated with the 0 factored in. If applicable, score recipients will receive the updated exam score, and College Board may notify colleges and universities by sending an updated exam score.

Students are permitted to retake the exam in the future but must submit a new performance task. If there are any required changes to the student’s status, the student will receive further communication from College Board. Depending on the severity of the infraction, College Board has the right to ban students from taking further AP Exams.
