FAQ

Is there any possibility of an extension of the performance task deadline?

There’s no guarantee of an extension beyond the deadline. Teachers should plan their academic calendars, and set interim deadlines to review students’ work, allowing for unforeseen circumstances so that students have made final submission of the Create performance task before the April submission deadline at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Teachers should check the AP Exam Schedule for the current year's submission deadline.

Note: Students should allot at least 30 minutes to submitting all three components of the Create performance task as final as each one requires students to open the files and attest to what is being submitted. It’s likely there will be a higher volume of simultaneous submissions as the 11:59 p.m. EDT deadline approaches, which means your file may take longer to upload in the AP Digital Portfolio. We strongly advise you to build extra time to prepare the upload and submit so you don’t risk missing the deadline. Do not wait until the last minute to upload your performance task as final.

For extreme circumstances, teachers or coordinators can contact cb.org/apeducatorinquiry to explain their situation. Extensions are not guaranteed and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
