Set Up Access

Here’s how to set up your account in the AP Art and Design digital submission web application and create your portfolio.

Sign In to the Application

Instructions

  1. Select your access type.

After signing in to the web application, select Student from the Select Your Access Type screen and click Next.

  2. Set up your student access.

Fill out basic information on the Set Up Your Student Access page (see screenshot below). The information you provide must match the information you used to set up your College Board account.

  3. Create a username and password.

Create a username and password for the AP Art and Design digital submission web application. (The account you set up in the web application is different than your My AP account.)

  4. Enter your 6-digit school code.

If you don't know your school code, you can find it by clicking the ? to the right of the School Code box. (If you're homeschooled, enter the code for the school that ordered your exam.)

  5. Indicate which AP Art and Design Portfolio Exam(s) you'll be submitting.

If you indicate multiple portfolio types, you'll need to sign out and sign back in to the web application to work on a different portfolio.

  6. Next to your selected portfolio type, enter the key.

Your AP teacher (or AP coordinator if you're homeschooled or otherwise not submitting through a teacher) will give you an alphanumeric key to enter for your portfolio type.

  7. Click "Submit."

If you've indicated you'll be submitting more than one AP Art and Design Portfolio Exam, the next time you sign in to the web application, you'll be asked which portfolio you'd like to work on. You'll need to sign out and sign back in to the web application to work on a different portfolio.
