In the rare event of a technical error or incomplete submission, teachers may send the portfolio back to the student with recommendations on how to correct the submission. Incomplete portfolios cannot be submitted. Please note that all students have agreed to abide by the College Board artistic integrity statement. Even if a teacher were to suspect that a student may have plagiarized aspects of the portfolio, the teacher must not send back the submission. The portfolio must be in Forwarded to Teacher status to return it to the student.
To return a portfolio, open the portfolio by clicking the student’s name from the Student Portfolio List and click Recommend Further Action by Student from the Actions dropdown menu:
You should notify the student directly that you have sent back the portfolio for further action and specify your recommendations. The next time the student signs in, they’ll see a pop-up message with directions to contact you.
Students are not required to make changes to their portfolios when portfolios are sent back to them. Whether or not the student makes any changes to the portfolio based on your recommendations, they will have to forward the portfolio to you again. Once the student has re-forwarded the portfolio to you, you will need to forward it to your AP coordinator.
