Once you forward a portfolio to the AP coordinator, the portfolio's status will change to Forwarded to Coordinator. Your AP coordinator must then take one of the following actions:
- Forward the portfolio to the AP Program by the AP deadline in May.
- Return the portfolio to you, if the coordinator believes that the student needs to take further action on the portfolio.
If a portfolio is returned to you, you must take one of the following actions:
- If the student wants to have the portfolio submitted to the AP Program for scoring in its current state, they should reconfirm all images and written evidence are present in their portfolio as they intended. You should then forward the portfolio back to the coordinator.
- If the student wants to make changes to the portfolio, return the portfolio to the student by clicking Recommend Further Action by Student. The student must then re-forward the portfolio to you, and you must once again forward the portfolio to the coordinator. You should then forward the portfolio back to the coordinator.
Sign back in to the web application occasionally to view your students' portfolio statuses, and check with your AP coordinator to ensure that all digital portfolios will be submitted to AP by the May deadline. A status of Sent to AP indicates that a portfolio has been submitted to AP for scoring. Only portfolios in Sent to AP status at the time of the deadline will be received by the AP Program and scored.
Note: No one at your school—you, the AP coordinator, or the student—can make changes to a student’s digital portfolio after the coordinator has sent the portfolio to the AP Program.
