The 2025 AP workshop consultant application is now open for select AP subjects.

How to Apply

Applications will be accepted for select AP subjects April–October each year. Invitations to the February training will be sent at the end of December.

Application materials include:

  • Your résumé or CV
  • A video (5–8 minutes in length)
  • A current AP Course Audit syllabus or equivalent syllabus for your college-level course

Applicant Requirements

You must meet the following requirements to become an AP workshop consultant.

Experience

  • Current AP course-authorized teacher or a current active higher education faculty member who has taught at least one semester of the comparable AP course in the last three years
  • Experience facilitating both online and in person

  • Previous participation in at least one AP professional learning event, such as an AP Summer Institute, an AP workshop, or the AP Annual Conference (preferred)

  • Recent AP reader experience in the subject (preferred)

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of College Board systems and the AP Program

  • Able to successfully integrate current technology and relevant resources, including integrating AP Classroom into workshops and institutes

  • Able to discuss curriculum adjustments and instructional strategies that will help to recruit and retain underrepresented students

  • Able to commit to fulfilling the mission and goals of College Board as an AP workshop consultant

Training Process
