For this course, a computing innovation is an innovation that includes a computer or program as an integral part of its function. Some examples of computing innovations include: physical computing innovations, such as self-driving car; non-physical computing software, such as apps; and non-physical computing concepts, such as eCommerce. The computing innovation selected should meet all of the requirements of the Explore—Impact of Computing Innovation task in the AP Computer Science Principles Course and Exam Description (.pdf/2.05MB).
